Education and key competences:
- University degree in economics or law
- Comprehension, basic knowledge and interest in the other field respectively
- Financial Lines training in a market leader´s business
- Ability to respond to questions regarding liability and coverage, particularly with respect to the company’s management level
- Comprehension and analytical skills concerning companies’ annual reports, in particular financial statements and profit and loss statements
- Ability to independently explain difficult matters in writing, without utilization of pre-made text modules, endorsements or general terms and conditions of others
- Comprehension of corporate cultures and public relations, such as distinctions to ancient stratagems
- Economic comprehension, not only with regard to clients, but also for their line of business and environment
- Technical English in the area of the Financial Lines
- Enforcement of risk analysis and assessment
Professional experiences:
- Longtime employment with a global marked leader
- Experience in product development in the German and English language
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Financial Lines
- Managerial experience working for several financial lines market participants
- Experience with several Financial Lines products
- Claims experience
- Good connections to insurers and re-insurers as well as brokers
Personality of a specialty broker:
- Stamina and representation skills on management level
- Diplomatic finesse
- Courage to admit that the answer to a particular question is still to be found
Form of contract of the specialty broker:
- No contractual cutting short of statutory periods of limitation concerning liability claims
- No restrictions to compulsory liability provisions in contracts
